Some modern conveniences in technology are actually very inconvenient
Introduction
Modern conveniences are simply advancement from old conveniences. In our daily lives, we
use modern technologies. The way we deploy technology in different ways, and the way we
implement it, some times can contribute to harm of our lives and the society we live in general.
Even though they are advantageous in our society, inconsistence use of them contributes to some
shortcomings. In the society we are living today, it is true to say that some modern conveniences
have turned out actually to be inconvenient. This has basically resulted due to the development
of technology. In fact, technology has contributed to the access of information, which has
increased a chance of committing evils. For instance, with an increased development of economy
and technology, there has been a high possibility and tendency for many people to purse the so
called convenience. However they are not convenient at all. Particularly, people might assume
that high technological products such as industrious factories and vehicles are indispensable.
However through my own observations, even though such technologies might make us to be
more comfortable, they can be used in doing evil turn out. Thus, the commitment of such evils
has contributed to the modern conveniences to be very inconvenient (Ishida & Furukawa, 2013).
With an increased family income, many families have bought modern technology tools in their
homes such as computers. Computers are very important if they are at home and especially to
students as they use them as learning tools. Also, computers have been used as a tool for
entertainment. Computers are also used in the industries to allow networking of information
between one computer to the other, thus enhancing communication. In most cases, it is important
to note that accessing of information from the internet can accelerate abuse. Taking for example,
computers used in industries might give rival companies to learn secrets thus giving them a
chance to find the financial information, foreign government can have an accessibility of
sensitive defense data. Also, hacking of information via computers has become a major incident

in the modern society (Pascoe, 2015). Many hackers are using their expertise in computer to
hack important information for people via the internet. Taking for example, a hacker can use a
person’s information to steal somebody’s money from the bank. This has become a major risk
and especially for people who use their computers to keep information. For instance, countries
like Japan have employed various skills via social media such as face book to gain a person’s
information which makes it easier to hack your information. Chatting with unknown people
increases the chances of crime as criminals use this technique in gaining more information
(Pascoe, 2015).
Particularly, in order to follow the high space of modern life, many people have bought their own
cars, whenever the cars goes to a filling station, the poisonous tail gas is left living the
environment contaminated. This does not bring any much convenience at all due to the fact that
the poisonous gas emitted by the cars contributes to pollution and energy resources problems. It
is important to note that at the end of the day, the energy which drives the cars will be used up
which will cause a serious problem of energy. The poisonous gas emitted contributes to global
warming which is very risking as the planet is warming every now and then. Thus, the impacts
brought about by the emissions from the cars contribute to climate changes in the planet which
have contributed to challenges through out the world. The poisonous gases are also a major
challenge of our health. Some diseases are mainly brought about by poisonous gases emitted.
Thus, I wonder why people consider using private cars as they do not contribute to much
convenience. (Yuan, Ali Hussain, Hales & Cotten, 2015)
Basically, modern technology has created social isolation as many people are spending more
time on social networking rather than fostering real life relationships. In essence, this has
increased loneliness in our modern society. Interaction has been forgotten as many people have
become major victims to their phones which have enhanced social isolation due the fact that
there is no face to face communication. There is an increased loss of jobs in our society. Robots
are being used to carry out various tasks within the workplace making humans to loss jobs.
Businesses have gained an advantage as they save lot money as a result of using fewer
employees. In most cases, the development of technology, such as calculator has resulted to lose
of skills and creativity. This is because they don’t use there brain in performing simple tasks
such as math problem as the tools help them in doing so. In the end, we find that the technology

has affected us negatively. Finally, modern technology has been a contributing factor increased
violence and endless wars. With the modern weapons, terrorists have been using them for selfish
reasons (Pascoe, 2015).
Upon my final thoughts, I conclude that the technology contributes to some good benefits, such
as making communicating easier with the use of communication tools such as emails, mobile
phones and reduces the cost. Technology has also reduced the time spend during moving from
one place to another as people need just to communicate through either by use of phones or other
communication tools. However, as a result of bad results, it has made it to be inconvenient do not
recommend that high technological products should never be used. However, my contention is
that many people have put modern technology and conveniences indiscriminately into the hands
of persons largely which has contributed to potential harm. Basically, I recommend that pursuing
the conveniences and neglecting the shortcomings is inadvisable due to the fact that some
modern conveniences have become inconvenient. Thus, it is important to have wise ways of
dealing with the modern technology. For instance, to make our society phosphorous, it is
recommended that we use the modern technology in the good ways as possible and find the most
effective solutions to deal with the inconveniences of the modern technology. Thus, modern
conveniences have actually been inconveniences due their various disadvantages they have.
