Education Experience
Education exactly like other aspects of life includes many different number of
experiences. It is important for us to understand that education provide different experiences to
different people depending on factors surrounding such as level of education, type of education
and the environment of education. However, through all years of studying person should acquire
a general educational experiences. Therefore, Basic education experiences are gained through the
learning of different courses or subjects in schools. This paper presents a reflection of
educational experience throughout my life. Like any other young person, when I was young I had a
dream to become soccer player. Unfortunately, this dream went away because I had a car accident
that led to depriving me from playing me favorite sport as a professional soccer player, and I
won’t deny I got desperate, frustrated, and I did not know what to do to get over that. . The
situation made me seek advice from my parents who were supportive and understandable what I
am being through. My mom always used to say “if you don’t make an ambitions definitely you
will not have goals” she were right but at that time I had no purpose so why I would make an
ambitions, so I went to my dad to ask him this questions and he said to me “you must make a
purport to build your ambition hence you will have goals” than he suggest math and languages
but I did not wish to choose math and languages as they were not my favorite. I was therefore
left with science and physical education. They later on encouraged me to consider an option of
economics of science which after a lot of time I spent thinking I decide to study it.
As I went through different life and educational experiences, many things changed including my
ideas. I have now found myself in a different course that I never imagined I would do, and the point of
this story is that we can’t determine the route of our future life at early age because simply there’s no
enough experience and you cannot predicting the future.
In conclusion, the massage of this story that you don’t know what would happen to you in life, so
you have always to be ready for any obstacles that you may encounter and you should to
perseverance to get success.
Remedies to Challenges Facing International Students
Abstract
Every year, the United States receives more international students. These numbers are expected
to continue rising over time. “The U.S. enrolled a record-breaking number of international
students during the 2013-2014 school year, welcoming 886,052 undergraduate and graduate
students to collage and universities throughout the country” (Haynie, 2014).This research
focuses on the challenges that international students are faced with and how this can be
remedied. The challenges that are faced by students identified in this research, through different
sources include financial problems, assimilating the American culture, communication obstacle,
discrimination by resident students. In this research, the remedies that are most convenient are
determined as being the training of international students on better management of finances to
lower their financial challenges, discouraging resident students from discriminating against them,
teaching them on appropriate communication skills in the context of American culture and lastly
encouraging them to interact fearlessly with the local students and population to raise their
confidence and better assimilate them in the American culture.

Research
International students in the United States face many problems. These include cultural
differences, probable discrimination, financial issues and assimilation. Considering that there are
benefits to the United States in a number of ways including cultural exchange, better relations,
international integration and financial input to the economy. The biggest question is how these
students can be helped to deal with the different environment? This research seeks to identify the
different strategic remedies that can be adopted to sustain international students in American
schools and to encourage others to join them. Some of the strategies that can be taken include
having advisors in schools to help them assimilate into the system, discouraging resident
students from discriminating against international students and financial management. The
university management should, in response to these challenges, encourage them to interact with
the local student population as well as the society to raise their communication skills. These
International students find it hard to assimilate into the local culture. (Zeynab Jibreel, 2015)
found that most international students are bound to be subjects of culture shock. They find it hard
to get moving with the new culture. This relates to aspects such as dress code, the food and
generally the environment. Aspects such as weather and the behavior of people are key issues
that affect students. On top of this, students may find their association with people different from
how they interact with people from their mother countries. These differences make it
increasingly hard for them to be free with the locals. For this reason, most of the international
students end up with their own groups speaking their mother language which going to result
3
isolation from the locals. To solve this problem, a remedy can be to encourage the local
population to be friendly to the students and to interact with them more often. Hsiao-ping Wu,
Esther Garza, and Norma Guzman who made an Education Research of the International
students in 2015 found the society plays an important role which influence the international
student’s weather in positive or negative side. Therefore, the international students should be
encouraged to communicate with the local population to ensure that they have the best chance of
interaction. This way, the fear that most of the students have will go away. Next, the second
challenge is the language obstacle. The language obstacle emerges because second language
students find it hard dealing with lessons in their initial stay in American institutions of learning.
This is usually because the fact that they are not used to the same dialect as is native speakers.
Even if they understand English as a language, they cannot keep up with the speed in their first
days.. The question now how to fix this issue? Will the best remedy is to encourage them to
interact with the native speakers and to engage more with them. This will definitely be a key to
ensuring that they understand the communication way involved in American English. Also,
when there any discrimination by the residents students against the international students, there
must be consequences because it lowers their interaction, (Armstrong, 2017). The third problem
facing international students is financial management. Most of the international students find it
hard to manage their finances. This is because of the changes on culture where some of the
products are expensive and activities abound in the universities. This leads them to spend much
money on activities which they would otherwise prefer to spend it on something more important.
With this challenge, the universities can work hand in hand with the students through their
international student departments to offer financial management training to them at the time of
4
admission and to encourage them to ask for clarification before spending their finances. This will
go a long way to ensure that the students have incident free stays in the United States.
In conclusion, the international students are faced with a plenty of challenges and it is
upon them and the universities they attend should help them adapt to the new studying
environment. As seen, some of the challenges they face include financial management, language
obstacles and cultural shocks. The university management should, in response to these
challenges, encourage them to interact with the local student population as well as the society to
raise their communication skills. Discourage the locals from discriminating against them and
training them to manage their finances as soon as possible to reduce financial problems. With
this, the crucial role that international students play in the United States of cultural exchange will
be sustained as more students will seek after American education.
