Make A Difference is a fairly new organization founded in 2015. Make A Difference is an
outreach program targeting juveniles between the age of 8-18. The goals and objectives of this
program is providing young adults with alternatives to gangs, crime, and dropping out of school.
There are many teens in our communities that are joining gangs, committing crimes as serious as
felonies, and dropping out of school. Make a Difference aims to lessen the number of delinquent
juveniles in our community by providing them peer counseling, GED courses, tutoring, legal
assistance, skills training, and volunteer work.
Children are the future. Therefore, we should invest in their lives. Make A Difference program
offer juveniles and young adults opportunities to make a difference in their lives and in the
community. We can do this by providing them better opportunities and a much more positive
outlook. We can accomplish this with the Make A Difference annual fundraising festival.
The festival will be held on December 6, 2017, in Lagoon Park, 517 Fenway Drive, Gainesville,
AL 36127. The event will begin at 10:00 AM and the fun will continue until 2:00 PM. The
activities include horseback riding, face painting, and balloon bouncers for children under 10.
Bumper cars, laser tag, and games and prizes for children 10-17. Come out to Lagoon Park and
make a difference in your community.
