supplements such as whiteboard, charts, or PowerPoint to enhance your presentation. A hard copy of the proposal

Place your logo, business name and a tagline on the front page separate from the body of your report.

Summary
Summarize all key information before the presentation. Speak to the most interesting facts about your business and
use it as a hook to your audience. Make the reader/audience excited about the opportunity you are presenting. What
successes if any can you brag about? Don’t exceed two paragraphs.
3.
Team
Who are the key players in your organization? Who is the CEO, CFO, Marketing Director, or Managing
Partner? You don’t necessarily need all of these roles filled but you do have to provide a one paragraph summary
for each major player outlining their skills and background. This could include work experience, past achievements,
connections to the community or business culture and education. Don’t exceed on paragraph per person.

Problem
Explain how your concept will solve an existing business problem. How will your service or product benefit
consumers and the market place? Most importantly, why should investors or potential partners care about solving
this problem?
5.
Solution
In detail, provide your audience with the action plan which could include the improved manufacturing process,
superior location, better supply chain, higher customer satisfaction and so forth. Answer all the who, what, when,
where, why and how questions for your audience.
6.
Marketing/Sales
Who is your target market/audience? Answer all the key demographic data and include geographic distribution as
well.
7.
Projections or Milestones
Since this is fictional scenario, this can be made up. It is hard to estimate since this is a business start-up but you
can create Gantt charts projecting an increase in customers, sales figures, or expanding geographic distribution.
8.
Competition
List major competition to start up and explain why your business is different from theirs.
9.
Business Model
How will your business generate revenue? In what activities will your businesses be engaged? How will you price
your product or service and how will this compare to your competitors and the industry standards?
10.
Financing
How much money have you raised? How much of your own money/resources have you supplied? How much
money do you need, what means will you use to raise the capital and how will it be spent?
11.
References
Make sure to include key data and information so your investors can do their due diligence.
