FINAL TEAM PROJECT (30 points)
Goals of the assignment:
To expose students to real-life applications of the managerial concepts, theories, and tools covered in
class. To encourage students to engage in critical thinking. To provide students with an opportunity to
conduct a thorough business research using acceptable and reliable sources. To develop students’
teamwork skills and enrich their teamwork experience in an attempt to better prepare them for workplace.
To provide students with an opportunity to practice business language and improve their written
communication skills.
Instructions:
Each team will be assigned to a company as consultants hired by the company executives. By conducting
library and online research, teams will (1) collect in-depth information about their organization with
regards to the topics listed below, and (2) prepare an approximately 20-page, thorough analysis based on
reliable research findings and relevant class materials.
In this report, you will analyze and comment on the management of the company based on the topics
listed below, identify any problems, and make recommendations.
Although team members tend to share the project sections and prepare sections separately, SWOT and
recommendations sections should be prepared altogether via group brainstorming. Also each and every
team member should read all other sections prepared by other team members. It is each team member’s
RESPONSIBILITY to go over other sections, ensure that no plagiarism took place, adequate sources were
used and cited, ask for edits/revisions/improvements, and correct for grammar errors and typos. Also,
repetitions among the sections should be removed, and the sections prepared by different students should
be formatted consistently. Remember that if particular problems are identified in a section, this will pull
down the whole team’s score. Use the headers listed in the contents list below. Follow the same flow of
topics as well. The most important sections are marked bold.
All statements in this report should be based on articles and facts, all of which should be cited in MLA
format. Final project is due on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 9am and should be submitted by only 1
team member via the assignment link on Blackboard, which will direct you to turnitin.com
