There are sixunderrepresented groups listed: age, disabilities/genetic disorders, nationality, race/ethnicity, religion, and sexual orientation/women.These are general assignments, and your group should aim to address a specific identity trait within your underrepresented group (i.e., transgender people, Chinese people, hard-of-hearing people, etc.) Overall, your TED talk should contain five primary elements, and there should be a logical flow to the information presented based on the order of elements below. The presentation should contain the following information:  Introducing the underrepresented group.  a) Describe characteristics of the underrepresented group according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). b) Explain the importance (to you, the group, and organizations) of advocating for the underrepresented group.Background information on the underrepresented group – summary of the content of three reliable sources of information to understand the issues that the underrepresented group faces in the workplace (journal articles, reports, or books). a) Glossary of five terms most used to discuss or describe the underrepresented group. Include the definition for each term. b) Explain the main challenges faced in the workplace by people who identify themselves as belonging to this underrepresented group by presenting data displayed in tables or graphs.Testimonial – analyze an interview or case study of someone who identifies with the underrepresented group. A) Describe the interviewee’s background and perspective. B) Note any suggestions on how to prevent and avoid discrimination.Accommodations, practices, and interventions – to support the specific underrepresented group. You can use real data or examples from organizations to provide support for your claims. A) Present one accommodation or practice that an organization can use to assist the underrepresented group. B) Provide one example of an inclusion intervention used by a real-world organization that can support the underrepresented group.Resource library – resources in different formats to help people who belong to the underrepresented group. A) List one YouTube video related to the underrepresented group. B) List one website that can provide more information or support. To give this TED talk, you will make a PowerPoint presentation. This presentation can be used in your portfolio to showcase your understanding of DEI and specific underrepresented groups. Overall, the TED talk’s evaluation will address three criteria: Elements. The TED talk contains and addresses all required elements effectively.  Did you simply describe information, or did you reflect, critique ideas, question assumptions, and demonstrate analytical skills? It might include showing deep reflection related to personal experience.Data Collection and Visual Aid. Did you research reliable sources of information?
