Topic 1
Alcohol and tobacco taxes should be increased to assist in covering the increase in
medical cost. I selected this topic due to the increased rate of drug abuse in the country. The
increase if taxes on these drugs will only affect a minority of the people who abuse these drugs.
The increase in taxes will have two major advantages. It will assist in raising the revenue that is
to be used in hospitals to cover for several bills and purchasing of the medical instrument or
apparatus. In addition, it will deter people from abusing alcohol as well as tobacco. Therefore,
the usage of these drugs will reduce significantly. As such, there will be less number of lung
cancers as well as the other negative effects of tobacco and alcohol. This will result in the low
burden to the healthcare system and thus decrease the healthcare cost of everyone.

Should Transportation Security (TSA) regulations be changed?
This topic is about the Transport Security Administration. The TSA regulations should be
changed so that people can go to their workplaces carrying their working tools. This is because
tools like saws, knives, hammers and basketball bats are not allowed to be carried. In the airport,
bags are opened to be screened. Small gadgets like phones and digital cameras are screen
separately with the large ones like laptops. I would like this to be changed because it makes
people not to carry their luggage. This is because they fear that exposing their luggage’s can
make them be stolen. This will reduce the number of thefts on the airports.
Should all states require motorcyclists and passengers to wear helmets?
Topic 3
Motorists and passengers on motorcycles should wear helmets in all states. This is
because helmets are used to save lives. When motorists get into an accident, there are minimal
chances that they will be injured on their head. The death likelihood is 35% when wearing a
helmet. Helmets with face shields prevent the motorists and passengers to protect their eyes
when riding.it gives wind protection for your eyes. These are the reasons that all states should
make it a law that motorists and the passengers should wear helmets. This will result in a low
number of deaths from motorcycle accidents.
