The vision for the project is to have an extensive community where all the children of lowincome earners, as well as those with high income, are equally looked after, in the quest to
promote their interaction skills while growing and developing. The project is aimed at embracing
the responsibility of the entire society as a whole, and at the same time ensuring that parents and
caregivers are left to do other productive tasks for the benefit of the society and the nation at
large. This project is aimed at covering an extensive area as well as incorporate aspects of
diversity in service provision (Bollingtoft, 2009). The objectives of the project include;
a) Improving the standards of living for most families.
b) Releasing parents of stress while wondering who will take their part in caring for children
while at the same time, they try to remain productive.
c) Provision of affordable daycare centers for the children from the low-income families
d) Creation of employment for in the form of caregiving staff.
e) Impacting social skills on these children
f) Creating a center for playing and interacting with other children from the same locality.
g) Creating a center for the parents to meet, interact and create a network where they can
come up with programs to help in the development of their children.
h) Creating more free time for the parents to concentrate fully in their work.

The project’s scope is not limited to being beneficial to the community only. On the contrary, the
government is highly involved in expansion plans that aim at incorporating different sectors of

The idea of directing focus on the best current customers is an added advantage to the childcare
project. This is seen as an ongoing opportunity. Based on the project requirements and services

Expectations of all project stakeholders need to be adequately met. Stakeholders need to
be satisfied. Delivering on demands of customers and meeting project expectations is not
enough. There is a need to identify primary stakeholders in a project for different reasons.
Important decisions during the initiation, planning and execution stages will be made by these
people (Frenkel, 2005). In this project, there are five primary stakeholders;

Every team has different roles, regardless of the type of project, scope and size or nature.

a) Leader. The project leader provides the necessary direction and guidance to the team. The
leader takes responsibility for the results for teamwork. Development of activities as well as
providing encouragement for the team is essential. With proper leadership, a team is more
likely to be effective as compared to that with poor leadership. This is done through leading,
motivation and recognition of team members.
b) Members. A project team member is anyone who is involved in project activities. For
instance, members are involved in performing various tasks they actively evolve the
processes for the specific projects and are subordinate to the team leader.
c) Contributor. The project team contributor fully participates in the team activities but is not
fully involved in performing tasks and carrying out the project team responsibilities.
Contributors are helpful in improving the project. For example, valuable suggestions may be
given, as well as expert judgment and consultations. Contributors work in full collaboration
with the project managers.
Depending on the project in question, the project resource team may be involved in numerous

management of time. To gain control over lead time, the first step is an analysis of the status
quo. The flow of material and information must be identified and lead time separated into its
various elements or components. Managing time is the mirror image of managing quality, cost,
innovation and productivity.
From this details such as when the project can be carried out can be drawn up, and
times for length or deadlines of project can be set. Factors can include skills for the job where
the resources are going to be sourced from, for example internally and externally, and what
resources are available for the project, and the time scale the project has to be completed.
Part of the project management is to attack and eliminate waste; it is first necessary to
know what waste is and to begin with a complete understanding of the entire logistical process.
This can be done in a number of ways by using various tools and techniques.
Improvements are usually made by simplifying flow, by relating flow to value, and by

management cycle. These are separated into stages of five groups, these are shown below;

Gantt and PERT Charts
Gantt Chart are straightforward for projects to illustrate the allocation of time and resources in
a visual manner to help in managing different resources, however, it is too limited especially
when it comes to a very complex projects. It is also limited in presenting the precedence clearly
enough. While, PERT chart illustrate the dependency in a clear way, visualize the entire project
in a big diagram to trace the processes, where you can move the resources when and where
they are need. However, it is difficult to visualize any costs. Gantt chart becomes easier at the
final stage and in the completion of the project than PERT .Pert can illustrate the time in
different ways, critical path, can help in determine the effects of an earlier start or earlier finish
dates and when uncertainty occurs what can be late start or ate finish. PERT chart is like a
triangulation distribution where events/activity can be determined as likely an early start time
or most likely the duration of an event the most likely the time or the duration of the event,
most likely latest start time or most likely the longest duration. An Average of these times to be
calculated to predict the right time for events to act as a quick response to any uncertainty that
may interrupt the project and helpful in illustrating “what is” scenarios … Gantt chart are easy
to be understood and can be used by all levels of employees, while PERT needs a quite
understanding of the tool to be able to interrupt the processes, may need training to be familiar.
In Gantt chart, only one representation of chart, while there are two types of PERT, (a) activity
on node, (b) activity on arrow. (PMI, 2004).

It was developed in 1950s, proved to be a powerful tool to control and manage complex
projects. It is used in all project tools to plan all the activities, tasks that need to be completed
for its success and act as standard or a basic for schedule plan and manage resources in a more
efficient way. The advantage of using CPA is to test the scheduling plan, and to visualize the
activities that are critical and essential to complete the project i.e. that will affect the success of
projects if not completed. It identifies the tasks that can be delayed to manage resources in a
flexible way as mentioned earlier to be moved when and where are needed. However, its
disadvantages like the disadvantage of CPA, it is difficult to illustrate the dependency of other
activities or its relation with other activities if it is used alone, i.e. without using either Gantt or
PERT charts or other tools and make it further to understand. Additionally, CPA helps in
identifying the minimum duration of time to complete the activity or task and the project as a
whole. It also helps in identifying the specified tasks needed to enhance the project completion
in the frame time. (PMI, 2004).
Conclusion
Project management team needs to;
•
understanding of why the project is needed and where it fits in the organization’s
objectives and why the problem occurred in the first place;
•
Understanding about what needs to be done about the problem and what this project
will do to solve it.
