I hope this email finds you all well.
The purpose of this e-mail is to inform and encourage all employees to fulfill their survey which is being
taken by the Human Resources Department to decide whether to continue with the present company-wide
uniform floating holiday system or allowing individual liberty to pick one’s personal floating holiday of
choice.
As you all are aware, since the past five years the company has had a uniform floating holiday system
where a majority vote gets to determine when the whole firm should observe the floating holiday
uniformly. However, it has come to our notice that many of you have expressed a wish to have an
individual floating holiday at one’s convenience and need. For this purpose, the company has designed
another plan for an individual floating holiday system.
We believe that this will help employees be more productive and motivated at work. However, if the day
coincides with another employee’s request for floating holiday, the company reserves the right to deny
the employee with lesser seniority the requested holiday for that day.
In order to ascertain the majority’s stance on the matter, the HR department has called for a companywide vote. For this purpose, we encourage you to take out some time to fill out the attached survey on the
matter and help the company determine which floating holiday schedule is more preferred.
Please remember that the latest day to submit the survey is the 25th of October, 2015. In case of any
