Article review
This article basically talks more of managerial effectiveness, organizational change and
aspects of marketing, with the sole focus of the impact on strategies for globalization. The article
has analyzed a global organization and examined its specific management development needs.
The author has made propositions that in the global aspect; implicit is the model of management,
which is based on efficiency. On the same aspect, efficiency is brought about by organizations
taking a common and mutual approach across the national, as well as cultural boundaries. The
author urges the global managers to exercise ability of creating micro cultures,which are
effective to constitute a global unified action. In the micro world approach, the managers are

varied markets in ways that constitute to efficiencies. There are a number of advantages that
managers are bound to receive following adoption to this approach. First, the managers will be
able to successfully operate in any sort of organization structure that is characterized by solid
business problems. In addition to this, they should be able to consistently establish the influence
of their actions as well as behaviors towards their organizational performance. Further, managers
will have the capability of clearly establishing the extent to which the cultural assumptions
influence various organizational behaviors, and in return they should easily instill a micro culture
characterized by shared perceptions. The author also establishes the aspects that shape the
organizational culture which include staffing, the strategy used and systems. As such, in order to

come up with global managers,which are capable of creating and maintaining the unifying
micro-culture, it demands their provision for the ultimate experience towards culture shaping.

This article presents its main ideas in a way that puts organizational managers at positions
of enhancing the success of the organizations they manage. The author has properly described
the characteristics of global managers as well as the traits that they need to possess and acquire
to maintain the micro-world approach. Therefore, the global managers are developed just like
other global products, in a strategy that incorporates the idea of world markets in all
undertakings. The article bears a lot of credibility in the ideas that the author describes for the
micro-world approach. As such, besides just presenting ideas and facts on the subject, the article

areas that managers need to focus on for culture shaping which include managerial action, the
organizational process and the individual choice. The article hence has brought about sufficient
information on development in the global village. Through first stating the problem as being the
struggle of attaining global strategies, the author has also provided ideas on what needs to be
done first; which is to develop the global managers.
