Discuss a partnership from your clinical experience A partnership… Discuss a partnership from your clinical experienceA partnership formed during my clinical experience thus far was with a Nurse Practitioner in the dermatology field. I admire this NP very much and value her input and mentorship. Since my goal is to ultimately be an ARNP-FNP in the dermatology field I thought this partnership would have the most benefit and real-world learning experience. In an article that was written discussing ‘Principals for Partnership,’ states “implementing partnerships that foster relationships through shared interests, vision, and values can aid in the coordination of resources to provide a more positive patient experience and outcome” (Mangold, K. et al. 2014). Through the partnership, I have created we have agreed to work collaboratively with the same goal in mind to improve patient education and parent education on sun protection for children. Since both of us are in a similar field we understand we have a common passion and love for the field of dermatology. Furthermore, the NP I am working with has said if the plan I create is well thought out and planned she will attempt to make it a part of her practice. How was the partnership was formed?I know this NP in a professional setting. I approached her with my idea and she immediately got excited. Shed told me there are not very resources out there to educate parents on the importance of sun protection in children.Who are the Key stakeholders?I am responsible for creating, assessing, and evaluating the plan I create. The NP is the one taking time out of her day to speak with me and answer questions I may have.
