Before the two minute mark, the woodwind, brass, and percussion forces enter with a polyphonic and poly rhythmic texture. The orchestra and woodwinds share a call and response for several seconds, then the different brass sections share a call and response. These elements correspond to the beginning of the war. The woodwinds increase in pitch. The sound of all the sections increase as the tempo speeds up as well. It can be assumed that the battle has begun when the violins, trumpets, and drums play somewhat dissonant notes.
