production of automotive. The company will major in the manufacture of electric cars which will
be distributed to different markets in the country and at the globe at large. The company will
ensure that its marketing takes place in the local markets which will help it to establish itself at
the domestic level. On the other hand, the company will venture into the global markets although
at selected big countries like China, Canada, Australia, and Russia. These countries will provide
the best market for the sale of electric cars. There is an increase in the production of
environmentally-friendly vehicles. Aforementioned will offer the best opportunity to satisfy such
demand with the international plans aiming at limiting the use of diesel cars. With that in mind,

StarKim Automotive Company will be a private company with the options of becoming a
public company if the sales and the market respond positively. The reason to operate the business
as a private company is to ensure that the owners have the room to decide how to run it in the
competitive market. If the production of electric cars is successful, the company will be made
public, and its shares sold to the public. This will help them to control and be the part of
improving the environment with the ideas. The number of employees will be 250 starting from
the top management up to the regular employees. The workers will work on a three-shift system
which will ensure that all the employees get the best for adequate performance. The company
will be new once there will be no specific period in which it has been operating. The company
will break-even after eight months. The conducted research has provided enough information on
the current demands of the market.
The yearly revenue is expected to be $45million in the first 18 months. This revenue is
expected to rise as the company stabilizes on the market. With the current system, there will be
no complaints against the company as it will be trying to control the level of pollution in the
environment. The government is also expected to provide the necessary working environment for
the stakeholders to reduce the level of contamination. The level of competition is also likely to
increase as more companies are trying to join this industry. The management will counter this by
producing cheap cars (Hawkins, Troy, et al, 2013).

eight months. The conducted research has provided enough information on the current demands

In the automotive Company, some ethical issues are emerging and trending. One trending
moral situation that faces automotive producers reliably is security against rate. Auto organizations
are repeatedly generating fresher automobiles, which conveys up a critical issue: in outlining
another auto, what will the harmony amongst safety and cost be? Admittedly, there is an interest
for economical cars in car advertise and around the globe. However, at the same duration, there is
an intensifying curiosity for good cars. An automobile cannot be 100% secure if cost-cutting
methods in its plan and formation are reserved. Automotive producers have a promise to locate the
ideal harmony between minimal effort and safe to secure lives. This Company being in the
production of electric cars, this ethical issue will be of significant impact and needs to be put into
consideration.
The car industries publicize vehicles in ways that commend and energize conduct that
builds hazard to all street clients, including different drivers uninterested in the promoted item.
The motivation behind publicizing is to change behavior (Beauchamp et al., 2004). As driver
conduct is the factor that overwhelmingly influences the wellbeing of all highway operators,
should the ways that a few vehicles are promoted not be examined in ethical terms? Before a
medication can be sold, it must meet two actions. It must be of established effectiveness and
demonstrated wellbeing. No relating standard (or any standard) applies to the promoting and offer
of vehicle adornments. The manufacturers frequently promote “safety gear” with no confirmation
that it upgrades security, or will not expand danger (Beauchamp et al., 2004).
Another ethical issue challenging the vehicle corporate is that of subcontracting the
formation of specific segments. The Toyota confronted whirling response in 2010 for its appraisal

of more than 2.3 million automotive to resolve wrecked gas wheels that were apparently causing
fast and unforeseen speeding up. Looking at the incident today, Toyota made a terrible, perhaps
exploitative decision to outsource the age of the gas pedals. Had Toyota known at whatever point
in the midst of its relationship with CTS, the producer of the brakes, that backup courses of action
were taken remembering the ultimate objective to meet a particular cost or sum they set, by then
Toyota beyond question settled on a questionable decision? Auto enterprises from time to time go
for the dangers that could achieve moral issues while outsourcing age of particular segments for
their cars. This problem might affect the Company’s productivity and dependability on the market.
Therefore, when outsourcing, care must be taken not to rise conflicts on ethical matters
(Beauchamp et al., 2004).
Another vital ethical issue in the automotive industry is the relationship between employers
and employees. Keeping up capable workplace associations between agents is a procedure with
the challenge for chiefs paying little personality to the business. This test can end up being more
troublesome when the photo associations wander a basic sexual charge (Beauchamp et al., 2004).
This makes an ethical trouble about what pictures associations use to offer things and the
leadership expected of delegates in the workplace. There is never a reason or an honest to goodness
reason behind goading of any kind in any workplace; notwithstanding, availability to use sexually
charged imagery in advancing might show a working climate where harmful practices can occur.
Some employees are suffering from harassment from their employers. StarKim will consider this
issue to ensure that the employees are treated well, and the working environment is made
conducive.

Online selling of electronics and clothing lines
The company name will be Canon entrepreneurs. It will involve the selling of
electronic equipment including mobile phones, computers and clothing line for both young and
old; male and female. These are the items in high demand in the online market. Distribution
within and around the city of the products will be by local employees hired and who will be in
the warehouse waiting for purchase orders. Outside the city, local carrier companies will be used
to deliver the goods as this is much cheaper in carrying bulk at once. The activities ranging from
taking purchase orders, sales of the products, handling finances and distribution of goods will be
both done in large warehouse partitioned to suit every employee according to their daily duties.
Storage of the items will also take place in the stores. An extra surveillance service will be
needed to ensure its security. The marketing of the company will be mainly through social media
platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It is more comfortable as sharing of
information through mutual friends will lower advertisement cost. Also advertising through a
popular blog that mentions electronics and cloth trends will be needed so that it can increase the
number of potential clients.
Canon Company will be owned by two individuals partnering up to reduce the
amount of time it will take to make decisions affecting the business. The initial start-up capital
will be from the savings and borrowing from the bank. The number of employees involved in
management will significantly reduce while those working in receiving orders, packaging and
distributing the good will be higher for efficient delivery of the goods. The company will have at
most 50 employees at the start of the business and increasing them as the workload increase to

reduce the cost used for wages and salaries. A balance between work done and employees have
to be presented at the end of every financial month.
Within the online business, there tend to be ethical issues that will arise every day
and trend as people try to find solutions to the problems. One such trending issue that is
emerging is business reviews, ranging customer review articles in blogs, magazines, and even
television. Online reviews of products and services play a significant role in the customer’s
decision-making process. When a customer reads a few responses from clients, who write an
excellent rating to the company for defective products they sell they may end up convincing
customers to buy them. Problems may arise as there are people who are out there to destroy
business reputations either as revenge or just for the fun of it. They may single out a particular
employee to the company ruining their work and reputation; these bad comments may make an
employee never to get a chance to get hired anywhere else. It may also bring lousy company
images to the company thus a reduction in the sales which may eventually lead to bankruptcy
and collapse due to a drastic decrease in sales coverage (Woodbine and Ying Han Fan, 2014).
Other ethical issues that might arise are where the business is giving misleading
information which leads to misunderstanding. It might occur whereby a client orders for goods
but when delivered it is not as they expected. It may result from uploading images that are not
clear to customers, or the size of the item may be exaggerated by the quality of the pictures and
other time it may be client ordering good that is wrong due to negligence. Clients may end up
refusing to pay, claiming it is a wrong order and canceling it. It brings concern in that; one is not
sure whether to trust clients with the order they make. Cancelling the purchase order after
delivery will mean an incurred extra cost regarding fuel, time and money where delivery services
from carriers are used (Chonko, 2015).
MODULE 3 COURSE PROJECT
2
Exposure to unsealed or faulty equipment on the delivery of merchandise to
customers is very highly possible. We cannot evade from the fact that at one point in our
business we might encounter such an issue committed by our delivery staff or hired company. In
such a scenario, the integrity of the market might be plunged into an abyss but what are the
choices available? Online businesses are deemed impeccable. Regardless of the situation, our
focus will be on shielding the business against lousy image as well as following the stipulated
business laws of the land to the core (Weiss, 014). The impact of delivering damaged goods is
that it may require replacement which means more cost incurred. In case of repair, an expert will
be needed thus hiring such a technician will also require more expenses. The reputation of
employees delivering this good will be damaged as some people will request service of other
employees due to the severe experience.
A critical ethical issue that is of concern is of theft of information of customer
whereby it is easy for computer hackers to get access to valuable personal information such as
name, address, date of birth, email and telephone number online. Since many online businesses
one cannot use cash or writing and sending a check, clients use credit cards, and they give out
card numbers, expiration dates and security codes while buying goods over the internet where it
is easy to hack as it provides direct access to a bank account (Akhter, 2014). It is of concern as it
may bring legal problems to the company and the employees. Suing a company can be
detrimental to the business due to the high amount of finance used for the settlement.
Even though online operating business is cheaper due to fewer expenses incurred,
the way activities are conducted will always affect the market. Applying good ethical standard in
online business is a reflection of person’s ethics. Naturally, because it affects the business brand
image, generating sales, the process of marketing and how employees conduct themselves.
MODULE 3 COURSE PROJECT
Ethical issues will affect the company employees and owner thus, it’s essential to do work with
integrity.

Project Overview
Human Resources (HR) is a gift and a curse. Some employees run around doing all they can to hide their
actions from HR, while others allow HR to make their lives easier and more fruitful. The Human
Resources Department was created to serve the needs of the business, which often times include,
employee satisfaction. In fact, the more satisfied and taken care of an employee feels, the more profitable
and productive the company will be. Unfortunately, the ultimate goal is for HR to protect the company
they were created to support and often time’s employees are left stranded. Therefore, HR Departments
have begun being proactive and educating their employees on ethical actions or the omission of certain
actions which can lead to controversy in the workplace.
For the course project this quarter you are going to place yourself into a role within the HR Department. It
is your sole responsibility to educate your fellow employees to in turn better protect your company’s
character. You will research ideas, reach out to your employees, present your ideas and wrap up to be
sure everyone is on the same page.
