Real Estate Asset Management & Consulting in the US: Market Research Report
The Real Estate Asset Management & Consulting market research report provides key
industry analysis and industry statistics, measures market size, analyzes current and future industry
trends and shows market share for the industry’s largest companies.
Industry Analysis & Industry Trends
Over the past five years, the industry has experienced strong growth as construction markets revive
from depths of the US recession and associated collapse in property prices. Furthermore, a growing
economy with rising corporate profit is causing business budgets to expand, therefore increasing
demand for industry relocation services. In the coming years, the housing market is expected to
continue to recover, which will push industry revenue upward.
Industry Report – Industry Investment Chapter
The industry has a low level of capital intensity. Generally, the value added in this industry comes
from specialized knowledge requiring a significant level of labor input compared with other real

estate and rental industries. However, slightly stronger revenue growth over the past five years has
caused industry wages to fall from 34.1% of revenue in 2011 to an estimated 29.3% in 2016. Over
the past five years, the industry’s capital intensity has declined.

Stronger corporate profitability and greater private investment over the past five years have driven
growth in the Global Management Consultants industry. In the United States, which remains the

greatest contributor to industry revenue, regulatory reforms in the financial and healthcare sectors
have particularly heightened demand for business advisory services.
Starting a New Business
The Global Management Consultants industry has low but increasing barriers to entry. The
prominence of small one- or two-person operations, particularly in the US, is evidence of the
ability of new industry entrants to access the requisite capital to establish new companies. Capital
costs are minimal, as basic computing equipment is all that is required, and business may still be
conducted without this, while regulations governing the industry are minimal.

Cultural Contexts
Australian Culture:
There are three central influences that have pervaded Australian life and have shaped its
identity. The first is the Australian Bush, often referred to also as the Land or the Country, which
is central to both Aboriginal and Mainstream cultural identity. The second is the Climate, which
has presented its own particular challenges but has also allowed the development of an outdoor,
easy-going lifestyle. The third is Multiculturalism; people from hundreds of different cultural
backgrounds now form our population.
The Bush
Surprisingly, the core values of mainstream Australian society still find their reference point in
“the Bush,” a vague area somewhere beyond the outer suburbs of the large metropolitan centers.
The Bush is both people and the land. This synergy is also found at the heart of Aboriginal
Australia. Despite their traditional nomadic lifestyle, each Aboriginal tribe or “mob” identifies
very closely with a particular region where their ancestors are buried and where they have created
sacred sites.

The Climate
Australia has one of the harshest environments on earth, ruled not by the gentle predictability of
the Northern Hemisphere’s four seasons. However, Australia, situated in latitudes from tropical to
moderate, has an enviable climate at other times.
Multiculturalism
Australian core values derived from the environment and climate are still being penetrated by new
values being forged from the rich diversity that now makes up the population. Australia has always
been a land of immigrants. In recent years, however, some have found it difficult to absorb
increasing numbers of newcomers without suspicion and resentment. This is particularly the case
where the immigrants themselves are perceived to hold negative attitudes to the mainstream
culture.
Indian Culture:
India is an ancient civilization with 22 recognized languages, a large population which
represents all ethnic strains known to humanity, more than 200 political parties of diverse
ideologies, and followers from all major world religions. India is simultaneously modern and
primitive: its population includes one of the world’s greatest proportions of illiterates and the
second largest pool of technically qualified professionals. It is a poor agrarian country and is also
one of the fastest emerging economies.
India boasts indigenously developed space technology and software prowess, and also a
proliferation of primitive superstition. The Founding Fathers of modern independent India used to
describe the country as a “unity in diversity”. This most populous democracy, and the third-largest
country of the world. It acquired its unique cultural richness and diversity, however, by absorbing

10
and assimilating the cultural values and practices of the successive waves of migrating/trading
communities.
Though 82% of Indians are Hindu, their specific identity arises from a proliferation of
distinct faiths, sects, and castes; they worship different gods and goddesses, follow different
customs and rituals, and celebrate different festivals. The only country in the world that does not
have one language that everyone can speak and understand. It has 22 “official”
languages. Experiencing Indian culture is like living in different historical eras, spanning across
several centuries at the same time.
Global Teamwork
“The age-standardized prevalence, which takes into account the changes in life expectancy,
of blindness and visual impairment, decreased globally between 1990-2010. This points to the
successful intervention in treating cataracts and other forms of blindness and infectious diseases
such as trachoma,” Matheis, P. (2013, January).
Task: The team leader has the assign the tasks to the respective team members to achieve the task.
Here we see that the task has been not assigned by Ram Prabhu to the team members which in turn
lead to the delay in the output.
Trust: Trust plays a vital role in the development of any project. Here we can figure out that the
Australian staff didn’t trust the Indians in timeliness and quality management.
Terrain: Project lead has to take the initiative to support the team in worst situations. Here, Ram
Prabhu instead of supporting the team members, he resigned his position.
Global communication and teamwork
11
Time & Space: For the successful project, Time is an important constraint. Here, the time factor
is mentioned to highlight the lack of timeliness of Indians.
Technology: The engineering team is responsible for the development of the tools that are
necessary for the project. One can use the technology in a better way to achieve the goals.
Stakeholder analysis
Stakeholder analysis is an approach to making policy decisions, primarily in business,
which is based on identifying and prioritizing the interests. A stakeholder analysis examines the
stakes which shareholders, supplier’s customers, employees, or communities may have in a
particular issue. A stakeholder analysis is often used to develop generic strategies; these are meant
to be broad descriptions of what the corporation stands for and how it intends to mediate between
competing stakeholder concerns. Many firms have made public statements concerning these
strategies.
Advertising experts argue that stakeholder analysis an effective method for uniting
business strategy with social responsibility. This approach can be used to provide a variety of
business goals with an ethical basis, and it has played a role in developing the marketing of
environmentally safe products, known as green marketing. While many environmentalists consider
this kind of analysis a step in the right direction, some have argued that public statements of
strategies can be misleading, and that companies can be more concerned with their image and their
relationship with the media than they are with social responsibility

Cultural Bridgework Analysis
1.
Create metrics, set goals and publicize and reward both individual and team success.
2.
The Australians might collaborate with and support the Indian organization in strategies to
increase retention in Indian teams by creating clearer roles or better role-fit and more career
opportunities. The Team must be trained completely on all the concepts.
3.
Invest in travel to enable face-to-face interaction
4.
Clarify and agree on engagement rules, creating a shared style of exchanging information,
surfacing issues.
Teamwork Reflections
Clifton strengths
Two of top 10 strengths utilized examples
Eunice Joy
Achiever: Achievers love to complete tasks, and they derive fulfillment from their
accomplishments. People with strong Achiever talents feel as if every day starts at zero. By the
Global communication and teamwork
13
end of the day, they must accomplish something meaningful to feel good about themselves. People
with high Achiever have a strong inner drive.
Example: To achieve a goal, first we must commit to it. I feel that our goals will motivate us.
Everyone must set a goal for their ideal future and must strive hard to achieve it. My goal is to
help become a project manager in the organization where I worked for 2 years, my goal drove me
to pursue masters in management.
Relator: People with strong Relator talents are drawn to others they already know. They do not
necessarily shy away from meeting new people — in fact, they may have other themes that cause
them to enjoy the thrill of turning strangers into friends — but they do derive a great deal of
pleasure and strength from being around their close friends. Their relationships are close, caring,
and trusting.
Example: I love to have fun with friends. But I do not share my personal life with my friends. I
share them only with few people who are very close to me.
Prabhuja Kinnera
Consistency: I think that every person or member of the team should get equal value or
opportunities and in order to have a good consistency a proper or strong balance is required. In an
organization, there shouldn’t be any favoritism and with good consistency, one can make quick
decisions.
Example: In my real life if I can in the previous Organization where my Team Lead used to give
higher importance to the senior or more work experienced people and we the new joiners though
we worked for 6 Months he wouldn’t ask or take our suggestions. I thought that equal importance
is to be given to each member of the team.
Global communication and teamwork
14
Responsibility: Responsibility is also considered as a commitment, Dedication to a particular
work, whether it is small or a large it has to be done with the commitment and I feel that one should
take the responsibility personally and get the work done in time.
Example: When my team lead has assigned me a new project, which was reviewing the
Applications in IOS and Android stores to flag any application which are against the google
policies. I felt that I was too responsible as it was the Initial project which was just started and I
felt it was my responsibility to work on it and prove myself and Yes, I did my job with good results.
Dheekshitha
Includer: Includers love to include people and make them part of a group, they accept different
natures and respect them. Their thoughtful approach to others not only increases participation but
also communication as they ensure everyone is considered.
Example: My strength is I want to make people happy to be part of a group and make them free
when they want to talk to me if they are coming from the different region. I can also include with
them easily and help them to interact with others in the group. People accept me and will get
involved with my thoughts easily.
Communication: Communication is important in every individual’s life. People with strong
Communication talents bring attention and focus to important messages. They can find words for
not only their own thoughts and feelings but for those of others. This gives them the ability to
reach out and connect with others in meaningful ways.
Example: communication …
