Light for African Children
The Light for African Children program is an advocacy group for promotion
of technology in the rural schools of Africa. The primary aim of this program is attaining
sustainable development goals of education that ensure inclusive and quality
education for all and promote lifelong learning. As of eight months ago, the
organization flagged off the project in Eastern Africa since their education system falls
behind other African areas, with significant challenges to overcomes such poverty and
disparity. However, the progress has been slow due to limited funds in the company.
The lighting initiative aim to provide solar technology that is rechargeable to schools in
rural parts of Africa. The bottom line of the program is to ensure students in remote
areas of Africa have access to standard and quality learning in a bid to attaining
international education standards (Bauer, 2015).
Technology remains the most suitable for leveling the field of learning and ensuring that
African students have equal international job opportunities in the future as their
counterparts in first world nations(Bauer,2015). We need to ensure distribution of the
lighting systems and supplementary technology for learning purposes. We
will obtain software materials and increase the number of hardware materials to a
favorable student ratio for effective teaching and learning. Besides, the teachers will be
giving training courses about how to use and implement technology in learning to
guarantee the success of the program.
The technology that will provide to students includes computers, tablets,
software, solar lamps and lighting system. These tools are significant for leveling the field
of education and enhance student learning and achievement outcome. Therefore,
African children will have equal job opportunities in the future to reach their goals that

better career opportunities which would help them tackle poverty and inequality
challenges. We hope to get your support to keep the continuous of lighting.
