Technology in our context could be defined as a collection of techniques, methods, skills
and processes embedded in a gadget used to execute tasks faster, better and efficiently. These
gadgets could include laptops, tablets, video games, e-books, interactive whiteboards, and even
mobile phones. Early technology education plays an essential role in bringing up a child to being
creative. National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has it that
technology gadgets can play a vital role in affecting early education for kids. This will be effective
when it is used deliberately and by the age of a child, developmental level, and individual interests.
That is true, and I support the argument. The study will expound much on how technology has
favored those children that have been exposed to it in their learning ages. Technology, for instance,
will help those children in problem-solving, improving reading, mobility senses, and interactions
with others.
In the British Journal of Educational Technology, their studies also show that it helps with
the children’s developing communicative and creative competencies. If the child gets a chance to
join any social media, they will meet other people on the websites. They will make
communications via the site. The child will be able to meet many of new friends online which they
will chat or even video calls. This makes the child have the courage to talk even to other kids in
school or the neighborhood. Again they can chat via Short Message Services (SMS) and exchange
ideas with their friends. They might again gain courtesy in the way they make their presentation
or converse with other people. They will have absorbed ideas that will brace them with skills
necessary to making them know how to relate to others. For example, some schools in the United
States, schools allow children to write and solve problems combined using the technology. People
have come up with applications that encourage children to work as a team in completing a task.

While a kid is passing their time using the technological gadgets, they tend to be glued
much on the proceeding of the event. They are interrupted by nothing not unless the thing they are
concentrating on is over. According to Derrick Clarkson (2013), if a child has a habit of
maintaining a keen concentration on a gadget, then they are more likely to keep the same keenness
on everything they do. For instance, if the child is in class and they have grown a habit of not
maintaining an undisputable concentration, then they absolutely will stay with the teacher and
whatever they do in class or even co-curricular. Again, Catherin Gregor,(2009) a professor of
psychology, claims that if a kid has the habit of maintaining a keen focus on a laptop, computer or
tablet, it is likely for them to exercise the same in their daily activities. This will result in better
performance.
Fran C Blumberg claims that children are interested in short-term objectives. This is like
playing simple mazes, complicated mind games on the computers or smartphones. That thinking
is crucial to mind development of a child and even everybody in general. For the kids, they face a
lot of them in a day if they own a gadget. Them trying to solving the problems improves their
critical thinking. Sabrina S Ismail of Fordham University cited that children while playing a video
game, they wonder which step comes next making them think and try to the next level. It helps in
learning and majorly in logical reasoning. It will help them be in a position to solve mathematical
problems easily and accurately. This makes them be smarter and be able to make decisions that
will, for instance, get them out of trouble.
Technology has the ability to bear and nurture a talent in a child in many different ways.
For instance, the internet has a million videos of people doing all kinds of activities that may be a
hobby to them or even earning an income. If a child comes across an article to read or even a video
to watch, and they are captivated by it, they may try to copy that in their free times. If the practice

persists, they will grow some passion in doing it and may eventually grow to be their talent.
Sweester Penelope (2013) has it that, if for example, a child has exposure to technological music
instrument at an early age, the parent will notice the interest and work towards bringing up a
musician. They will interact with the instruments during their free times. They will love to do it
over and over again, perfecting their skills in playing the instruments. According to Daniel Johnson
(2013), children who get exposed to different activities, chances have it that the kids would
eventually get involved in doing and that could be the child`s call to execute the activity as their
profession.
For technology to be useful in early education, it has to offer the child with necessary skills
to get them ready for school. Most of the developmentally appropriate computer applications will
raise the kid`s preparedness to learn, read and execute mathematical problems. Technology will
provide basic skills to the child in which the child should be competent for them to prosper in
school.
Despite the many advantages technology may have to children, there is a misconception
that many may have in mind. This may make a parent or a guardian fail to expose the kid to any
form of technology whatsoever. This is the believe that;
They believe that the child will stop using their brains and depend on the technological
gadgets to solve their problems. For instance, if it is a Math assignment, the child will use a
calculator which will help them solve the problem. On the contrary, technology instead makes the
kid smart. Sole K. (2013) argues that kids are made smarter and sharper by the technology. The
benefits that technology has to the kid surpasses the harm it may expose. This is because they will
save a lot of time that could rather be lost if the child used the old fashioned technique to execute
a task or tackle a problem. Time to children in the modern days tend to be precious and they ought

to be subjected to things that will make them grow intellectually, socially, morally and spiritually
too.
Technology has been of incredible importance to the growing children. It has made many
define the fate of the life at a tender age. Children have been learning to embrace it in every way
they can in a bid to have zero time spent doing nothing. Technology has made parenting and
teaching an easy task. Many have invested a lot in the bettering of their children`s young age and
making it easy for them. All in all, technology can at the same time make the life of a child
miserable and hard to thrive in. For example, a child may spend most of their times on the
computer, laptop or smartphones until they get addicted to it. Trying to help the child out of that
may cause a lot of psychological damages. Again, they should restrict the pages the child should
visit online since the internet has all the filthy stuff a child is not supposed to see. Therefore, proper
parenting should be maintained at all times. Parents should expose their children to the modern
technology. Technology is very dynamic. The parent should, therefore, provide their children with
the latest and complicated technology for them to feel challenged all the times. Technology will
brighten children and brace them to the challenges of life by making them interactive, creative and
even smart problem solvers.
