Tennis is a fascinating and enjoyable game both for watching and playing. The people
who have been engaged in this game have a lot of experiences to tell as well as tough lessons to
teach to the aspiring members. The level of preparedness for the individual determines their
output in the field. The participants are expected to put in hours of practice and strenuous
exercises to enable them to withstand the pressure in the field (Brown, 2012). This game does
not respect the prowess of any personality. Therefore, it is a matter of putting in your best energy
to the game and mastering the tricks of your opponent.
The game has its setbacks which the player and any other interested person should always
be aware of. First, the issue of doping has been experienced in the previous times. This results in
unfair competition grounds for the participants whereby one is under the influence of a particular
booster which makes them more active than the one who does not use it. Another issue involves
match fixes. Situations arise whereby the less qualified are directly matched with the experts
leading to automatic wins while another sector is being humiliated and demeaned (Beck, 2016).
These challenges affect both the male and female tennis players.
One important discovery is the existing relationship between tennis game and
mathematics. The trick lies behind the steps to take when there is a tie in the set points, how to
win a tiebreak set, and all other winning options that are there in the backward and forward
recursion. Mathematics is used in the determination of the match points at particular times, the
duration of each match and the calculations for the predictions. Everything that concerns tennis
is closely connected to the mathematical concepts. The angles to take during serving and
handling the ball are dictated by mathematical concepts.
