EDU 543 Milestone Two Guidelines and Rubric
Throughout the course you will be working on the theory research project. The second milestone will focus on the social cognitive learning theory and strategies
used in the classroom.
Prompt: In Module Five, you will submit a social cognitive learning theory paper. You will choose one theory from the social cognitive theory and summarize it.
Explain the theory in detail. What are the main elements? Who was involved in this theory? What aspects are associated with the theory? This section should be
titled the name of theory and be at least one page in length in 12-point Times New Roman font. You can use Chapters 5 and 11 from the book Human Learning
and at least one reference from the Shapiro Library as your research for this assignment. Two references need to be used; cite as needed.
Next, you will apply this theory by creating a table of three scenarios and giving a specific example of how this theory will be applied with each scenario. Provide
an example and tools used for each of the three scenarios. You can make your table however you would like, but you must include three columns with the first
column titled Scenario, second column titled Application, and third column titled Tools. Use this table as a guide for the second part of this paper. Title this
section Application of Theory. The table should be at least one page in length using 12-point Times New Roman font. You may make up your own scenario or use
the book and other resources from the Shapiro Library. Cite as needed. This milestone is graded with the Milestone Two Rubric.
Specifically the following Critical Elements must be addressed:
I. Analyze one social cognitive learning theory including the main elements and who is involved, and define aspects associated with the theory and
incorporating scholarly research.
II. Create Scenarios that would be found in a classroom. The scenarios should be detailed.
III. Application in the Classroom: Create a table of three scenarios and then give a specific example of how social cognitive learning theory will be applied with
each scenario. Three scenarios will be created along with an example and tools used for each. How can the theory be applied in the classroom
environment? Use this table as a guide for creating scenarios and providing a specific example.
IV. Articulation of Response: Show appropriate grammar, spelling, syntax, and organization.
