How Does Soccer Bring Me Happiness?
Soccer is a game that was first played in the year 1863. Prior to that, it started as a pass
time activity that friends came together to take part in and later was taken up as a sport.
However, it was realized that the game was enjoyed by a lot of people, men and boys especially.
Therefore, businessmen thought that they could use it as a platform to source money. So teams of
expert players were formed. For lovers of the game to watch them, an individual had to pay. The
tradition has remained to be so till today. In fact prices to go watch a renowned team play live
have gone so high, but stadiums still get filled. That explains how much entertaining and loved
the soccer game is.
Why is Soccer Important
Soccer is a recreational activity that helps keep young people off the streets. It helps them
avoid being idle and opt for activities that are destructive. These activities could be drug
trafficking, drug abuse, participation in robbery and other activities in the same line. That is why;
most governments have actively supported this venture by constructing soccer stadiums, funding
the activities of the teams and awarding them when they perform well as a way of
encouragement.
Soccer is also a source of entertainment. Bars and other gathering areas always screen
soccer games and they especially get filled when the screening is for a live game. Stadiums get
filled with fans that go to watch the game. Individuals even place bets on who is going to win the
game. Celebrations are held by the team and fans who win the game. Besides these, television
stations create television programs that talk soccer and are meant to entertain the soccer fans.
You will find that in men or boy gatherings that there is a heated discussion about soccer games.
Soccer is also a source of employment. Soccer players, especially in big teams such as
Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona, are full time soccer players and get paid very well.
There also other staff that work fulltime such as coaches, linesmen and their doctors. They also
provide jersey designers with jobs.
How does soccer bring me happiness?
Soccer is not just one another sport it is something beautiful that warms hearts and makes
you feel it. It moves the world. The world population now is around 7.2 billion people and in
2016 the world already had 3.5 billion fans. Soccer brings me and my friends together. We
support rival teams but it is this that brings joy and entertainment.
Soccer also entertains me. It is my go to entertainment at my low moments. It is what lifts
my moods. During weekend my family and I go to the stadium to hang out and watch the game
together. It, therefore brings my family together. When playing soccer, I am exercising and that
has made me fit and happy with my physical state of my body.
Why should people care about soccer?
Well people should care about soccer because of its protective nature. The fact that it
protects youths from drug abuse and other unlawful activities, another reason is because it helps
grow the economy. The tickets people buy, the food they buy during the game and the jerseys
too garner a lot of revenue for the economy and this helps for the growth of the state. Besides
that, football brings the society together. No matter the political differences, different
nationalities, tribes and economical differences, soccer brings everyone under one umbrella and
unifies them through the support they have for a specific team.
Soccer is therefore a game that I think should be embraced by everyone, supported by
everyone and they will realize why soccer is important as it is to me.
