The Differences Between Typical Schools and
Homeschooling
To gain knowledge and to learn more about a specific
subject, you have to spend enormous amount of time,
money and effort. There are two major ways to learn,
learn in a place or an environment that designed to
provide knowledge under some rules such as school or
educational institutions or without going to such an
educational environment like a school. You can learn and
get knowledge from many resources such as the internet,
a library or mixing yourself with experienced people.
Although there are some similarities between going to
school and homeschooling, there are many differences in
use of books, Internet, and learning from expert people.
Books are the first source of knowledge. Both
students use books ether in school or homeschooling.
Typical school gives their students specific books these
books were reviewed by specialized people in education
fields for each educational stage. For example, specializes
in the development of educational curriculums, in
elementary school, middle school, and high school.
Having a very well reviewed and prepared curriculums’
books for the school student gives the students shortcut to
learn. Books have so much pages and information but
school’s curriculums’ books have the important knowledge
and information that students want to learn eather based
on their tage of learning or specialist student in a specific
major. On the other hand, people learnin by
homeschooling they don not have curriculums, they have
general books that never been reviewed by a specializes
in the development of educational curriculums as school’s
books. As a result, homeschooling learners fund it hard to
identify the appropriate book to read and learn from.
Internet is the biggest gate to education in the world
because it gives the learner access to the world’s
educational resources. Most of schools and universities
twenty-one century rely on e-learning learning connected
through electronic media or websites, on the Internet.
Since the internet is the wider sores of information on the
univers, schools and universities make their own resource
of information by publishing e-library, documented and
approved sources. That makes it faster and easier for
students to reach a relied source. For instance, Montclair

trustworthy resources. MSU’s students have to sign in, in
order to access to the University’s e-library. While
universities’ and schools’ students are reaching a reliable
information through the internet, homeschooling learners
are finding the enormes information on the internet but
they can not trust these information due to the ability of
anyone to post information and claim it is true and reliable.
For example, Wikipedia website. Anyone can add or edit
an information on it. So it is unreliable source of
information.
Experts are the most reliable resource since ancient
days. They write books, clear gray information, and
expand their knowledge through every way possible.
Experts in school are the teachers. Experts in universities
are faculties. Teachers and professors both spend their
lives learning in a specific field such as math area, biology
area, or linguistics area. On the other hand,
homeschooling have a tough time finding experts to learn
from. Even if homeschooling learners found a person that
very professional, this person probably busy or do not
have teaching skills. As a matter of fact, most people who
are expert in their field do not make them good teachers.
Teaching skills are the core point and the distinguishing
feature between the expert and the teacher.
Learning tools such as books, technology, and
expertise can be used in both school setting or at home for
learning purposes. The huge differences are the way
learners are using these tools to gain knowledge. These
differences mentioned on the article make learning in
school the best way to gain knowledge due to well
prepared sources, ability to access to so much reliable
information, and learning from skilled teachers. If you are
