Lena Price 47 year old Caucasian stay at home mom .Lena has a 14 year old daughter Kelly
Price and a 3 year old son Lance Price with diseased husband Sean Price. Lena shot and killed
her husband two years ago in self-defense after he pushed her down a flight of stairs and she
crawled to try and get away as he held her down with his gun to shoot and kill her. Lena states
that 6 months before pushing her down the stairs her husband hit her in right leg twice with his
golf clubs. Lena has experienced severe back pain, walks with a limp, and has nightmares at least
four times a week now since the incident with her husband. Lena and her two children have been
living with her parents since the accident and she is now ready to try and find a job and get out
on her own for her children. Lena would help with her dad’s construction company in the office
doing secretarial work off and on for the past 13 years and feels that office work would be good
for her. Lena wants to find an apartment once she gets a job. Lena does not really socialize with
her friends that she has had for years and does not go out that much in public because she feels
like people stare and gossip behind her back. Lena’s daughter ( Kelly) blames her off and on for
her dad death and has angry outburst towards her mother on a weekly basis since losing her
father. Lena states that she has tried to get counseling for her but daughter she has no insurance
for the last two years. Lena states that she wants to get a secretary or office position or a job that
she can work from home. Lena states that she is unable to stand up for long periods of times
since both her legs were broken from the fall in addition to the pain from prior abuse. Lena states
that she feels like she needs a cane but does not use it because she does not want people to turn
her away when she applies for jobs. Lena states that she does not want to be viewed as useless.
Lena states that she did not finish high school but she tried to get her GED but her husband at the
time informed her that she did not need it. Lena dropped out of school when she was in the 10th
grade. Lena seeks vocational skills that she can obtain to help her get a job to support her family.
Lena is worried about if she will find a job, how she will afford food, and if her daughter will
ever receive counseling, and if she should as well for her nightmares. Lena states that her parents
state that all she needs to do is pray and that things will get better and they will continue to help
her. Lena states that her son does not walk and barely talks. Lena states that he is still in diapers.
Lena shows signs of depression, PTSD, and low self-esteem during interview when discussing
